Edgar Pablos discusses his early years learning English through movies, the challenges at USC Film School, and how experiences like being fired led to working with Walter Hill, while the music of Ennio Morricone opened doors to collaborate with Joe Dante. Born in El Paso, Texas, to a Spanish-speaking family, he made his short film debut with Agua Dulce, which won multiple national and international awards and was selected for major U.S. and Mexican film festivals. With Judith Cummings, he founded Tribesmen Pictures, directing, writing, and producing films, documentaries, commercials, and educational content for clients including Time Warner Cable, California State University, and MALDEF.
