Director Edgar Pablos Interview

Edgar Pablos, director of Angel Lady, shares stories about the filmmakers and actors who shaped his career, including Joe Dante, Mike Figgis, Antoine Fuqua, James Earl Jones, and Salma Hayek. Born in El Paso, Texas, he learned English and cultural understanding through movies. His short film debut, *Agua Dulce*, won national and international awards and was selected for several major U.S. and Mexican film festivals. Together with Judith Cummings, he founded Tribesmen Pictures, where he directs, writes, and produces content for film, television, and organizations such as Time Warner Cable, California State University, and MALDEF.

Edgar Pablos discusses his early years learning English through movies, the challenges at USC Film School, and how experiences like being fired led to working with Walter Hill, while the music of Ennio Morricone opened doors to collaborate with Joe Dante. Born in El Paso, Texas, to a Spanish-speaking family, he made his short film debut with Agua Dulce, which won multiple national and international awards and was selected for major U.S. and Mexican film festivals. Producer Dan Moore Interview

Dan Moore left his Ohio State Ph.D. program in nineteen seventy-nine to work as a production assistant on Brubaker, launching a career spanning more than thirty-five years in costume design. He created costumes for over twenty films and television projects, earned a Costume Designers Guild nomination and an Emmy, and worked on films such as Deepwater Horizon, LBJ and Green Book. He now produces films with his wife under Sheridan Film Company in New Orleans.
